2024 Toyota Crown Interior Not quite fit for a King

The Toyota Crown is undoubtedly a unique looking vehicle, especially with the option for a two tone paint scheme, which may divide opinions upon the first glance. However, the 2024 Toyota Crown interior is more conventional, offering a sense of normality compared to its eye catching exterior.

In the top Platinum trim, the interior features gold accents that add a touch of visual interest, but it is only available in black leather, which limits the color options. The lack of interior color options on the top trim is a drawback, especially for those interested in the Hybrid Max powertrain, which only comes in black. The interior design is functional and exudes a quiet premium feeling that aligns with the Crown’s high price tag. It features a restrained use of piano black plastic, which is practical for long-term cleanliness and maintenance.

Updated Technology Features:

The center console includes a vertically oriented wireless phone charger and a monostable shifter design, which are both practical and do not obstruct the overall layout. The climate and steering wheel controls are easily accessible and offer a logical layout. The main infotainment touchscreen runs Toyota’s latest software and features a responsive UI. However, the transition between smartphone mirroring and native infotainment could be more streamlined. The digital cluster offers customization options for displaying essential information. The steering wheel controls allow for easy adjustments without diverting attention from the road.

The rear seats provide ample space and comfort for passengers, along with dedicated vents and USB Type-C ports. The large panoramic sunroof helps remove the feeling of a confined space due to the sloping roofline. However, the rear visibility is limited compared to other sedans. The trunk space of the Crown is large enough but slightly smaller than the old Avalon. Also while using the passthrough with both seats down space is a bit cramped.

Comfortable Seating Options:

Despite the absence of luxurious Lexus-level interior features, the Crown’s interior is a step up from vehicles like the Camry or RAV4. Nevertheless, additional color and trim options would elevate the overall aesthetic and align with the regal name of the Crown.

In conclusion, the 2024 Toyota Crown distinguishes itself with its unconventional exterior and functional interior. While it may not offer the same level of luxury as a Lexus. It provides a premium experience that sets it apart from other Toyota models. With some improvements in color and trim options, the Crown could truly live up to its majestic name and deliver a more well-rounded luxury experience for its occupants.

Toyota Cambodia do not list the Crown as one of their available models. You can let us know in the comments if you do see one.
