Review: The Beauty Inside the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV

When it comes to the latest EV from Mercedes-Benz, it’s clear that the Beauty inside the Mercedes-Benz EQE interior steals the show. While the exterior design may not be to everyone’s taste, the inside of this electric vehicle is absolutely stunning.

It all begins with a combination of Neva Grey/Sable Brown MB-Tex upholstery and Natural Grain Magnolia wood with a Star Pattern. The light gray and brown accents, along with the copper trim, create an atmosphere of pure class. The brown floor mats add a finishing touch to the two-tone color scheme, allowing you to enjoy the aesthetic without worrying about dirt.

One notable feature of this EQE SUV is lack of the optional Hyperscreen. While the Hyperscreen offers a larger central screen and an additional screen for the passenger, the wood trim on the passenger side dash is far more enjoyable as a driver.

The piano black center console design itself is lovely, featuring a push-to-open mechanism that reveals cupholders and a wireless charging pad. The under-console storage is also impressive, with USB-C ports and a strap to keep things in place.

The seats in the EQE SUV are comfortable, powered buckets with ergonomic controls. The optional massage function and rapid-heating function are definitely worth considering. the Front Multicontour Seating Package adds ventilated seats and more comfortable headrests, enhancing the overall luxury of the vehicle.

Luxury Tech

Much of the luxury in a Mercedes-Benz vehicle comes from its tech, and the EQE SUV is no exception. It offers limitless ambient lighting options, a HEPA air filtration system, and a smooth infotainment system with beautiful graphics. However, there is a desire for more physical switches and controls, as the haptic and touch controls on the steering wheel and central display can make daily use more difficult.

The MBUX infotainment system, with its “zero-layer” design, continues to impress. The quick shortcuts to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto are fantastic, and the EQ and Vehicle shortcuts on the control panel allow for easy access to commonly used settings. The EV-specific menus, such as the charger finder and Plug & Charge tech, are also highly functional.

When it comes to driving, the silence of the EQE SUV is exactly what you’d expect from an electric vehicle. It provides a smooth and isolated ride, comparable to other cars in its class, the rear seats offer plenty of space and legroom, ensuring comfort for passengers. The trunk is the only major compromise in terms of packaging, as it’s smaller than the GLE-Class equivalent. Mercedes prioritized a sleek rear end and smaller dimensions over a larger cargo area.

In conclusion, the beauty inside the Mercedes-Benz EQE impresses with its stunning design, luxurious features, and advanced tech. While there are some minor flaws in the material usage and controls, overall, it offers a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
