Tesla is well-known for its excellent quality control and attention to detail. Now, the company is bringing that same level of care to the automotive wrap business. Based in Austin, Texas, Telsa introduce car wrapping to owners of its Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in high-quality colored paint protection film.
Tesla emphasizes that these wraps are not typical vinyl wraps, but rather a thicker and more expensive colored paint protection film. Tesla owners can now choose from seven different colors for their Model 3 and Model Y cars.
The cost for these wraps, incluses all costs including installation. The price ranges from $7,500 to $8,000, depending on the color chosen. The wraps are available at selected Tesla service centers, bookings are required and will take more than a day to install.
Telsa introduce car wrapping to counter complaints from customers, who have experienced paint issues. These wraps are offered in seven unique colors and provide protection for the car’s paint from chips, scratches, and swirling. Once applied the wrapping also acts as a barrier for the paintwork.
These wraps are quite common in the market these days, however, the price high tag may deter customers. It is not yet clear if these wraps also cover paintworks warranty in the future.
