Sneak Peek into the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Fresh New Design

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma has a fresh new design, finally receiving a complete redesign after eight years. It appears to be an much improved version of the very popular truck.
The Tacoma now shares a new frame with the Tundra and Land Cruiser, but is sized down to fit the Tacoma’s size. Various cab and bed configurations available, as well as multiple trim levels and off road options.

One notable improvement is the inclusion of coil springs in higher trim models. This should enhance the ride and handling compared to the traditional leaf spring rear suspension found in lower trim models. The engine options have also been updated, with turbocharged four cylinder engines replacing the previous four and six cylinder options. Additionally, a hybrid version is now available, boasting over 300 horsepower and 400 pound feet of torque. Both two and four wheel drive are offered, including a manual with the more powerful turbo four.

Although driving experience, pricing, and specific features have yet to be revealed, we have compiled currently known info this guide.
The non hybrid models are expected to go on sale by the end of the year, with the hybrid versions arriving early next year.

Interior and Technology:

Tacoma’s cabin resembles a scaled down version of the Tundra’s interior. It features a square and chunky design, plenty of grab handles, and a prominent badge on the passenger side to remind drivers of the truck they’re in. Different trim levels offer various color and material options, from vibrant accents in the TRD Sport and TRD Pro to more subdued interiors in base and higher trim Limited models. Luxurious features such as a wireless charging pad and heated ventilated front seats are available. The instrument cluster and infotainment screens vary depending on the trim level, with options including a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch infotainment screen. The infotainment system is user friendly, but there have been some frustrations with the navigation system map.

How Big in Terms of Size:

The Tacoma is a midsize pickup that competes with Ford Ranger, Nissan Frontier and Jeep Gladiator. It offers a variety of cab and bed configurations, with two cabs (Access Cab and Double Cab) and two bed lengths (long bed for Access Cab and short bed for Double Cab). The Access Cab only has front seats and doors, Double Cab has rear doors and is suitable for passengers. This gives the Tacoma more versatility in terms of seating and cargo options compared to some of its competitors.

Performance wise, the 2024 Tacoma is powered by a turbo four cylinder engine, with no V6 option available. The entry models produce 228 hp and 243 pf of torque. Higher trim models offer 278 hp and 317 pf of torque.
The hybrid powertrain is the flagship of the lineup, combining the turbo four cylinder engine with an electric motor producing an impressive 326 hp and 465 pf of torque. Fuel economy ratings have not been announced yet.

Standard features:

Push button start, a 7 inch instrument display, an 8 inch infotainment screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Access Cab models no longer offer rear doors or the option for a rear seat. The Double Cab is the only option for those needing rear seating. Higher trim levels offer additional features such as a larger 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch infotainment screen, a locking rear differential, power side steps, a sunroof, wireless charging, a head-up display, entry start phone app, and heated/ventilated seats.

Safety Features:

The 2024 Tacoma comes standard with features such as automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, Adaptive cruise control with lane centering, road sign detection. Other driver aids include hill-start assist, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available as optional features.

In conclusion, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma fresh new design is an eagerly anticipated update to the popular truck. While there are still some details yet to be revealed, the new Tacoma appears to be a worthy upgrade that should please fans of the truck.
