Nissan to Showcase three distinct concepts at SEMA Show

In order to showcase their racing expertise, Nissan has created three distinct concepts for the upcoming 2023 SEMA show. These concepts are based on the Rogue, the Frontier, and the Sentra, each with its own unique modifications.

Project Rugged Rogue:

The Project Rugged Rogue is built on the foundation of the updated 2024 Rogue. Its purpose is to explore off road trails that are typically inaccessible for crossovers. To achieve this, Nismo Off-Road provided numerous parts and accessories, such as a three-inch lift kit, 18-inch wheels, a custom dual center mounted exhaust system, and carbon fiber wheel arch flares. The Rogue also features a roof rack with driving lights and accommodations for a kayak and mountain bike. Inside, neoprene seat covers and a spare tire carrier add to its off road capabilities. With its rugged appearance and enhanced features, the Project Rugged Rogue is ready for any adventure.

Please note, many of the parts used in the Project Rugged Rogue are still at the prototype stage. This includes the wheels, roof rack, front bumper guard, and seat covers. Additionally, the alloy wheels were designed to fit other Nissan models, such as the Pathfinder. This suggests that Nissan may have plans to produce similar off-road vehicles in the future.

NORRA 500 Frontier concept:

The Frontier concept was transformed into a race car with the help of Formula Drift champion Chris Forsberg and the engineers at Nissan. This truck has already proven its capabilities by finishing first in the stock production category of the 2023 NORRA 500 race. During SEMA, the Frontier will be on display in its end of race condition, dings, dirt, and bugs it has acquired.
The Frontier received a lift kit, a high performance suspension, a sport exhaust, beadlock wheels with Yokohama tires, and rock rails. All modifications were sourced from Nismo, further emphasizing its racing pedigree.

Sentra DET concept:

The Sentra DET concept takes inspiration from both the Sentra Cup racing series and past high performance models from Nissan. While the Sentra has primarily been known for its value, Nissan has also created powerful variants in the past, such as the 140 hp SE-R of the B13-generation car.
The Sentra DET concept is powered by a 2.0 liter turbo four cylinder engine, its output have not been disclosed.
However, the components used in its construction are impressive, including Eagle connecting rods, Manley pistons, a Garrett G25 660 turbo and Bosch EV14 secondary fuel injectors. The engine is equipped with a Nismo B18 performance exhaust system, and additional enhancements include a lightweight flywheel, a sport clutch kit from McLeod, and a Quaife limited slip differential.
To ensure the car can handle the power, Z-sourced brakes are utilized. The concept is completed with Nismo built prototype coilovers, 18-inch wheels, and Recaro Sportster CS front seats. This makes it one of the most exciting Nissan concepts in recent memory. However, it remains to be seen if this concept will ever make it into production.

The 2023 SEMA show will begin on October 31st in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visitors will get to see these three distinct concepts from Nissan firsthand and witness Nissan’s racing expertise.
