Subaru Impressive Innovation : A Flying Car and Electric Sports Car

Unveiled by Subaru two impressive innovation concepts at the Japan Mobility Show. The first concept, called the Sport Mobility Concept, is an electric sports car. The second concept, known as the Air Mobility Concept, resembles a flying car. Surprisingly, the idea of Subaru venturing into the world of flying vehicles is not as far fetched as it may seem.

Out of the two, the Sport Mobility Concept is particularly eye-catching. Its design is reminiscent of a typical Subaru sports car, featuring slightly boxy ends, pronounced fenders, and a wide stance. The inner sections of the headlights even resemble rally lights. Subaru has not shared many details about the concept, but we do know that it is electric and all-wheel-drive. Additionally, it boasts a low seating position, which is desirable for a sports coupe.

On the other hand, the Air Mobility Concept truly embodies the concept of a flying car. It has distinctive headlights and taillights with branding in the middle, and the cabin resembles that of a car. However, what sets it apart are the propellers integrated into its pancaked outer edges. Subaru has not revealed much information about this concept either, but they have mentioned that both aerospace and automotive engineers are currently working on it. Interestingly, Subaru is no stranger to aerospace, as the company already builds helicopters for Bell under contract. Therefore, Subaru seems to be in a favorable position to enter the personal aircraft industry.

It is important to note that neither of these concepts appear to be heading for production in the near future, especially the Air Mobility Concept. However, we remain hopeful that the Sport Mobility Concept will undergo further development and potentially evolve into an electric WRX coupe or something similar.

We hope to see both concepts at Subaru Cambodia soon!.
