.The Japanese automaker recently unveiled a teaser photo for the redesigned 2025 Toyota Camry sedan, with a confirmed debut date of November 14th. Coincidentally, this is the same day the automaker will reveal the Crown SUV, which was previously previewed with the Crown Estate concept.
Both the Camry and Crown SUV are expected to be at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show, on November 16th. The new Camry is anticipated to hit the market next year as a 2025 model. The teaser photo offers minimal details but does confirm the availability of a hybrid powertrain paired with all-wheel drive.
It remains unclear whether the all wheel drive system will be a traditional setup or a “through the road” configuration. This is where a gas engine at the front and an electric motor at the rear. This type of setup found in the Crown sedan, was introduced in 2023, as well as some other Toyota models.
Existing Model Long in the Tooth:
The current Camry, which was introduced in 2018, brought a new platform and three new powertrains. As such, the new Camry is expected to be more of a significant update rather than a complete redesign. Spy shots of prototypes indicate a similar overall shape to the current model.
Currently, the Camry’s powertrain lineup includes a 203 hp 2.5 liter inline 4, A 208 hp hybrid with a 2.5 liter inline 4, and a 301-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6.
There is speculation that one of the Crown’s hybrid powertrains, utilizing electric motors at the front and rear, may be offered in the new Camry.
Despite the decline in popularity of the sedan segment, the Camry continues to be a best selling vehicles.
No pricing is available online at Toyota Cambodia for the 2025 Toyota Camry at the moment.
