Nightshade Package Boost: 2024 Toyota Sequoia Goes to the Dark Side

The 2024 Toyota Sequoia Goes to the Dark Side and has undergone several changes, particularly in relation to its packages. Following the lead of the Tundra, Toyota’s full-size offerings, the Limited trim of the Sequoia now offers the Nightshade package which has already become popular in Toyota’s lineup. For an additional $500, this package turns various parts of the vehicle black, including the grille, grille surround, lower bumper, mirror caps, greenhouse surround, wheel arch trim, and other shiny elements at the back. The stock 20-inch wheels are also replaced with painted black aluminum wheels.
Moreover, second-row captain’s chairs are now available as an option for the Limited trim, which was previously only reserved for higher trims. Choosing this option adds $350 to the price of the vehicle.

Here are some more details about each trim level:

Sequoia Platinum: Customers who choose the Sequoia Platinum with four-wheel drive have the option to add a TRD Off-Road Package. This package is already available for the SR5 and Limited trims with four-wheel drive. It is important to note that the TRD Off-Road Package differs in its specific details from the TRD Sport Package, which can be added to the entry-level SR5 trim, as well as from the Sequoia TRD Pro, which is its own separate trim.
The TRD Sport Package includes TRD-tuned Bilstein shocks, TRD-tuned springs, upgraded 20-inch wheels, aluminum pedals, and a red TRD push-button for engine start. On the other hand, the TRD Off-Road Package incorporates a lockable rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, Downhill Assist Control, Crawl Control, and Multi-Terrain Monitor. It also features TRD-sorted springs and Bilstein shocks, as well as a red driveshaft for the front axle.
When adding this package to the Platinum trim, customers receive the same 20-inch TRD wheels found on the Limited trim, while the SR5 comes with 18-inch TRD wheels. The Platinum TRD interior includes luxurious red seats to complement the red push-button engine starter and aluminum pedals.

TRD Pro: This specific trim of the Sequoia is equipped with Fox internal bypass coilovers at the rear of the vehicle, as well as Fox remote-reservoir units at the back. The TRD Pro trim is also known for its distinctive colors, with this year’s color being Terra, which is a deep copper-brown shade.

Only the TRD Pro trim comes with four-wheel drive as a standard feature. For the other trims, adding four-wheel drive increases the price by an additional $3,000.

We hope you agree that as the new 2024 Toyota Sequoia Goes to the Dark Side it’s a welcome addition and upgrade to this already popular model. Check out Toyota’s gallery for more pictures
