Tusk 1969 Dodge Charger by Ringbrothers Brings Hellephant to life

Ringbrothers has established a strong reputation for its exceptional custom builds. Its latest creations showcased at the 2023 SEMA show unquestionably uphold that reputation.
The stand out exhibit at this Wisconsin-based builder’s booth is a 1969 Dodge Charger named Tusk.

While custom Chargers are not uncommon, Ringbrothers took a daring approach by significantly altering the proportions of this particular build. Furthermore, the company equipped the project with the supercharged 7.0 liter V-8 engine known as the Hellephant, a limited edition crate engine capable of producing 1,000 horsepower, restricted to only 100 units.

Making a the car even longer:

Every aspect of this build is custom, including the extended wheelbase, rockers and fenders, and the engine positioning, which is moved 2.5 inches further back compared to the stock configuration. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and powers the rear wheels through a specially designed carbon fiber driveshaft and a Ford 9-inch rear differential.

All body panels are meticulously crafted from carbon fiber, with the hood featuring a unique two piece design and billet machined grilles that provide glimpses of the scoops. A single billet machined chrome piece is employed to enhance the signature hideaway headlight grille. The front fascia has been tucked and narrowed to give the illusion of an even longer vehicle, a design technique mirrored in the rear fascia.

While some areas exhibit exposed carbon fiber, the majority of the body is painted black. The Black enhanced with gold accents on elements such as the hood scoops, wheels, and rear stripe. Fitted with HRE wheels, the front pair positioned two inches further forward due to the elongated wheelbase. Suspension is by Fox RS SV coilovers, and braking power is provided by Baer brakes with six piston calipers. Billet side vents in the front fenders aid in heat dissipation from the massive brakes.

Hand Crafted Interior:

The interior incorporates carbon fiber for the console and a custom shifter with a pistol grip design. Digital gauges, a digital rearview mirror, and a modern climate control system contribute to the contemporary feel of the cabin.

According to Ringbrothers, the Tusk 1969 Dodge Charger build required over five thousand hours to complete.

The SEMA Show is held once a year in November, unfortunately it is a trade only show. To gain access would require online application from their website.
